Well it has now sold 1 million so things are looking good so far.

that's good... in line with realistic ideas... however Sony had very high hopes for this game and it kind of let them down... personally this game probably deserves to get at least 2 million by the end of the year

Sony's hopes was for less than 2.5 mil... how is that High? This game will probablly make that

Why doesn't it have legs again? It's been on what? A two to three week climb and increase in sales?

I poor launch for a heavily advertised title is indicative of were the final number will end up...LBP is going to do okay, but it's hardly going to be the killer app some expected it to be for ps3...maybe it will be home...oh wwait...

well atleast ps3 has the 1 game that is better than any xbox game.

Well LBP is defintely not the biggest title for Sony as they had hoped but it definitely is not a flop.  There were high expectations from both Sony and fans and it appears that it has not contributed to any significant number of PS3 sales (ie November 2007 > 2008 sales).   Only time will tell if it will have legs.

its definately not a flop, its one of the highest rated games this year.

It will have legs because is a game unique on its genre.

LBP hasnt done as well as hoped for, but it hasnt done as badly as some people are making out...

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

LBP disoppointing sales. But that is the fault of $400 cost of PS3 (not many small kids can afford that kind of cash!). LBP will sell only rufly 2million lifetime.

LBP 2 will sell 4-5 million because by when it comes out, the PS3 will cost $200 and has installed base of 50 million consoles (of which many are kids and families).

Little Big Planet will have great legs in Europe, it seems, and it has already sold 1 million. That's a fairly substantial amount, actually. It will at least double that figure.

It's not a system seller or the salvation of PS3, but short of this it's doing well for itself.

This is invisible text!

u should try LBP its gotta be one of the best games released so far, you only buy one copy of the game, so the xbox argument of "if it doesnt sell well its not a good game" is fucking stupid.

1 million in five weeks.

/thread.

Did it still?

I mean... NPD says VGchartz was over in the US.

The first 5 weeks appear to be at 356K for the US according to NPD

VS our 44,7807.

Would put us a little over 9K over.

Which would mean LBP would be actually a little under a million currently.

Ignoring Canada and Mexico? (Does NPD track bundles?)

Bundles no.  Though were there even LBP bundles in NA?

Good point about Canada.  Not really mexico though

PS3 is proportionally less strong in Canada and espiecially mexico though.

So it'd still be a lot more likely that LBP didn't reach the Mil till week 6.

Well, LBP is the best sony game sold until now, more ore less 40% over Gran Turismo, thats a lot

How many have been sold? i have no idea, but, if mexico is 50% of canada and canada is 10% of USA, that mean250-350k consoles in mexico, so, maybe 75k would be possible, and a good number though.
