Forums - Sales Discussion - LBP - Not so long legs after all?

http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=21509http://www.destructoid.com/littlebigplanet-sales-are-lacking-sackboy-develops-a-drinking-problem-114548.phtml

During the butchered launch in October Little Big Planet sold 310,000 copies in the U.S. During the whole month of November it sold 141,000.

A sharp decline over a longer period of time to rack up sales. Not to mention in one of the most important months of the year sales wise.

PS3 oweners need to learn to support their exclusive products or they aren't going to stay exclusive anymore. Sony could do a bit better job of advertising though. Despite all this I do expect the sales to pick up in December. They may not be amazing sales but it should increase.

It's always been known it's success would rely on it's Europe performance.

Who said it was going to have long legs?

Who said it was going to be a huge success and sell 10 million copies?

Who told you these lies?

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Well it has now sold 1 million so things are looking good so far.

I poor launch for a heavily advertised title is indicative of were the final number will end up...LBP is going to do okay, but it's hardly going to be the killer app some expected it to be for ps3...maybe it will be home...oh wwait...

A lot of people on this site.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Wow, it sold 215 k in October but actually dropped in November to 141 k. The Europeans will certainly pull the title up on the charts but the US appears not to care much about Sony exclusives.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger
