Yeah, no way Nintendo would sell it at a loss, and the 360 was sold at over $250 loss at first. So $700 minimum would be from Nintendo to ensure a profit for each systems.

DANG I cant wait till 2009 seem this holiday season is boring. Oooh the Wii sells more than PS360 combined! So why did it sell? :?

And these wii bashers are kinda annoying. I have yet to see a Wii game that sell a million on its first week to prove that core games do sell. Even I dont think The Conduit is groundbreaking I just want to see the game sell atleast a million just to prove a point.

Anyway, SEGA is doing it by releasing their exclusive games on the Wii. But I just hope those games sell a million on its first week after the hype sorrounding these titles, or else we will see another "core games dont sell on the Wii, better buy PS360 if you want core titles" articles again.

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

BTW, those guys lamented the loss of the Nintendo Seal of Quality. Just shows they either weren't around or not paying attention. That seal didn't stop bad games, and it certainly didn't stop shovelware.

@dougsdad: The lack of 3rd party support with N64 and GC was understandable. N64 had too high costs, only the "top" developers were allowed to develope for it in the beginning and the hardware sales were bad.
GC had bad hardware sales, which took the interest away from it, but it had a good 3rd party support in the beginning.
In Wiis case, it has very good 3rd party support, but the problem is the 3rd party games quality and then the developers just cry and whine because they don't want to put out quality games for Wii.

I love how the company that's selling the most software and hardware is given a rant from some reviewers telling them they don't know what there doing.

Yeah does anyone see the irony here?
