Do you know that list wars are a sin?

Would you like to hear the good news, instead?

Sony found a large deposit of oil directly under their HQ?

Ok, tell me!

Btw, I do awknowledge that many Wii games unfairly slipped off that list.

I love how the company that's selling the most software and hardware is given a rant from some reviewers telling them they don't know what there doing.

Yeah does anyone see the irony here?

Nintendo's strategy is "short term"? Bull. Where the hell do they have any basis, save for a slow release quarter? And who's really short term are all the developers going for huge release months to get sales up front.

Capcom's been enjoying money for months from games selling steady on the Wii, DS, and PSP (those Monster Hunter games have some pretty good legs as well).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

In your case it involves a natural 20 and a Sony Defense Force modifier

Prognosis is pretty bad

I own a Wii and I don’t agree.

“Pleas make good games Nintendo” lol idiots

List good games nintendo has made this year and months they came out in...

Click on them to find the dates, I'm tired of doing your research for you

Oh, and the Pikmin GC port

Oh, and wiiware games.

Just because you haven't played them, doesn't mean they aren't good.

Anyway, the Wii doesn't need the gaming media, it did well without them in its first 2 years anyway

What I took away from the video is that Nintendo is making a lot of money and selling a lot of hardware, but who cares? The "hardcore" users (the ones who buy a lot of software) are incredibly alienated in favor of the "casual" users (who traditionally don't buy much software). The general disinterest of Wii owners in the vast majority of 3rd party software has basically forced 3rd party publishers to put out lots of low-risk shovelware and give their better efforts to PS3 and 360. It's ironic that the hardcore gamers who kept Nintendo afloat during the N64 and GC years are the ones being cast aside in favor of people who've rarely if ever picked up a controller before now and don't know Nintendo from their rear-endo.

YTD software sales in Americas (note that the Wii started the year off with a smaller install base than the 360):

Software Totals:

ConsoleYearTotal
60,183,862 105,875,281
59,308,766 136,944,441
48,047,011 128,364,382
29,645,611 47,492,113
19,868,306 167,321,246
12,965,474 57,481,862
62,466 10,532,895
Total 230,081,496

I think these people are just angry that Nintendo is proving that they aren't as important as they think they are. Odd that "abandoning the hardcore" has allowed Nintendo to soar to greater heights than ever before. The more they cry, the more irrelevant they look.

Except really you're comparing only the Xbox 360 and the Wii, since Fallout 3 for example isn't on one platform but its on the other then you have to list it. Furthermore if you decide to take that stance further it indicates support for the position that the Wii needs another platform for us core gamers otherwise we wouldn't be getting enough and then you can take the whole single platform exclusive idea to its logical conclusion.

The Wii is a mainstream console

The Xbox 360 is the mainstream development console.

(Note mainstream has a different meaning for both)
