Forums - Sony - See Sony's motion controller in action...

I already bet 5 bucks with a friend that MS will see this and present its "New Xmotion Experience" at E3 and launch it earlier XD XD XD

I only saw the 1st video, from what i can see, it's like the Wii Motion Plus tech, only that this one will be in HD and with better graphics... i'll see the other 2 ones to see if i'm missing something else...

listen to the first couple of sentances in the vid they say playstation 3

It looks good no matter how blatant of a copy it is, most likely it's going to go the way of the Zune compared to Ipod, a good alternative but lacking the image and image sells. People will like it a few companies will support it, but I wouldn't think it will do amazing unless it was packed in with PS3s and came packed in with a few games, I don't see a whole lot of support for it though not being a launch item makes it niche from the get go and 3rd parties are scared to fall in that niche and limiting their audience, also much like the PS3 can support Mouse and KB for FPS games yet few use it, it puzzles me all you have to do is add the option in there, which might be the fate of this contraption it could have optional support in each game but it's if the 3rd parties will put in the effort.

Nope, moreover even Wiimote not original, but that's just ridiculous to paint it black and replace "Wii" with "Sony". But that's not a bad thing, the bad is... if they hope to be this successful like Wii - they're going in wrong direction, it won't be successful that easy (and yes, nobody cares how superior this device in motion-sensing technology comparing to Wiimote, if Sony thinks otherwise... again, they're idiots), if this's just a gimmick, yet another peripheral device with a couple of titles supporting it... passable.

The problem of so called "innovations" is to bring it to mass market _properly_. We all know that America wasn't discovered by Columbus (and for sure Wiimote isn't first motion-sensing device), for the first time at least - there were a couple of other guys before him, but he's the one who discovered America and opened it to Old World (the same... Wiimote is successful). Got the idea?

I just don't like when Sony pretended to be Microsoft style, and now... Nintendo Style... why not to design own idea - Sony style, uh?

Please, read the article before posting.

Disclaimer: The image above is a mock-up. To see the actual controller we are talking about, watch the videos at the end of the article. We also recommend you read our original report on the “PS3mote” so you fully understand what is being explained in this article.

It was even in bold!

I have both the Wii and the PS3, so i would like to comment on this.

The motion sensor looks very impressive on the PS3, but that would be expected since they've had a very long time to develop it. They most likely used and analyzed the Wiimote in much of their development, so it shouldn't really be that hard to make a better remote than the Wii's current one; especially since the Wiimote has many flaws (hoping wii motion plus makes a massive improvement). When this is released i will purchase it and give it a try.

I guess this is Sony's attempt to gain some market share, and it will probably work. However i still don't see it selling more units weekly than the Wii, mainly because of the differences in their prices. The PS3, can't afford more price cuts, but they will have to keep making them if they want to compete. This also leaves me a feeling of how unoriginal Sony has become.

@Kantor

I read disclaimer and whole article, I didn't say or mentioned in any way that this's it, the real thing, quoting myself: "...but IF this's true and will be released (I still doubt it though)...".

Unless it is bundled with the console or given with the relevant games, then it will only be a gimmick....

Does anyone else think that the PS4 will essentially be a PS3 with more RAM, faster Cell and graphics card and one of these? (I.e. the way the Wii is just a faster GC with different controls)

PSN ID: T_Gears

End of 2009 ltd sales:

Wii = 67-68m

X360 = 38-39m

PS3 = 34-35m

Prediction: The PS3 will surpass the 360 on weekly sales after it drops to $299 on all regular weeks (no big releases).

Si if sony and MS do motion controllers is considered harcore but for wii it's just a Gimic??

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
