I have both the Wii and the PS3, so i would like to comment on this.
The motion sensor looks very impressive on the PS3, but that would be expected since they've had a very long time to develop it. They most likely used and analyzed the Wiimote in much of their development, so it shouldn't really be that hard to make a better remote than the Wii's current one; especially since the Wiimote has many flaws (hoping wii motion plus makes a massive improvement). When this is released i will purchase it and give it a try.
I guess this is Sony's attempt to gain some market share, and it will probably work. However i still don't see it selling more units weekly than the Wii, mainly because of the differences in their prices. The PS3, can't afford more price cuts, but they will have to keep making them if they want to compete. This also leaves me a feeling of how unoriginal Sony has become.
