This thread is atrocious and considering how much of a troll magnet the subject is it's amazing it hasn't devolved just yet. I mean I was expecting the usual tantrum-inducing games like Carnival Games, Game Party, and (at one point) Mario Party 8 to get slammed by Mario & Sonic? Link's Corssbow Training? Lego Star Wars?

This is a dumb thread. If a game sells a million units then it deserves it whether fanboys like it or not. The market has spoken and now 16-bit gamer has to find a way to deal with it. Looks like he can not.

16 bit gamer, may be prayer might help you deal with the market results better or maybe a psychologist is the better approach instead of trying to find fanboys that share your views. Your rant is not going to stop games that you do not like, for some reason, from becoming million sellers.

How many Wii million-sellers deserve it? Every last one of them, and quite a few that haven't besides.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Mario Party 8 was too much of a Gamecube title so it shouldn't really have sold so much, but the people who bought it might like it so no comp[laints.

Wow i really dont know what's peoples problem with M&S at the Olympic Games, it is avery fun and competetive game. Excellent when you want to play with friends and family and when you're drunk. Much better then Olympic offerings of HD twins plus in my opinion it does use the Wii Mote very well.

It's very fun so it deserves it sales.

I tire of people and the "This game didn't deserve to sell a million" attitude. A million people decided it was worth it. Just because YOU don't like a game, doesn't mean a million other people can't buy it.

Yes I don't understand at all how someone can suggest Mario & Sonic doesn't deserve to sell a million. Actually I do. It means the person never played it in multiplayer and very probably never even played it at all.
