oh well its still at least a fuckin year away of course it has problems. If it had no problems it would be out soon.

Why do you think the 360 wil sell like 3 mil and the Ps3 to sell like 7 mil next year? No way will Ps3 go from 11mil to 7 mil the next year especially with the 11mil year not having a price cut and the 7 mil year will
Taking Markers' suggestion 1 step further, all the companies that agree to have damage put in on their cars should have relistic damage, Ferrari cars in the game should be replaced with Ferari's, which are extremely slow, handle badly, and are prone to rolling and catching on fire if you take a corner over 40 km/h
I can guarantee that Ferrari will agree to damage for GT6 :P
| kowenicki said: Hang on... I'm sure I have played games with Ferraris in that have damage haven't I???? or am I mistaken? |
Ferrari Chalenge comes to mind.
Wasn't there crash damage in that?
Maybe it is Poly being stingy. However a lot of companies probably pay to be in the game (look at the Citroen GT concept for example, that wasn't free) so it could just be Ferrari being elitist.

Proud Sony Rear Admiral
EDIT: Whoops, I misread it. Continue panicking :P
No but seriously, they just need a couple of thousand dollars. Or they could just threaten to leave Ferrari out of the game.
This game will sell. It will also sell systems. And according to Polyphony Digital, it will be out in 2009. And 'sooner than we think'
I usually don't like racing games, but this looks so damned awesome :)
not to worried how it will turn out, as I still got grand prix legends to turn too, which in my opinion is the best car simulator game still to date.
| kowenicki said: @ skeeuk... so damage in GT5 will be crap too then? it isnt that important how it looks in my opinion... its that it is there and hinders performance of the vehicle surely?? oh.. and comparing forza and burnout paradise is a bit silly. |
yes exactly, my point was if ferrari wont allow total-outs on thier licenced cars, then the gt5 damage will be like the forza ie, just scrapes and bumper hang-offs.
they would have no choice 2, it would stand out like a sore thumb if everycar had major damage modeling apart from ferraris, thats why i think forza damage is like that because of ferrari restrictions.
i think ferrari will let damage but only minor.
i mentioned burnout as a comparison for damage, not game, forza could easily have had damage like the ones found in burnout, but i feel they couldnt do it because of ferrari restiction on how much they will allow. if u know what i mean.

I don't want damage, I want a racing game. I wish they'd just listen to some fans instead of listening to the hoards of 'I want a crashing game'.
I swear I better not have to pay to repair damages in this game.
Hmm, pie.

1,2 and 4.
The changes between games are on the level of a patch. The fact people keep buying each version says a lot about the attention span of the masses.
I played first game to death, I bought the second and was bored within hours, it was near identical. I skipped 3 because was just a graphic update, and I bought 4 long after release second hand for about £5 thinking the series might have changed enough. I was the same game near enough, graphic update the biggest change. |

That can't be serious, I've spent countless hours with this series and the leap between GT 2 and GT 3 is massive (There is not much done between 3 and 4 though, I'll admit). That's like saying Half-Life 2 has no improvements over Half-Life or Civilization 4 has nothing that the original didn't have save for better graphics. Your statement is epic, but in the wrong direction.
