GooseGaws: Right on
And yes, he did.

No idea, but Uematsu left because he knew he could make more money.

Gundam seed destiny learned that lesson the hard way. Shinn was so hated. Yes I know this is Off topic, but so is discussing FF12. |
Everyone stopped discussing the actual topic since... long ago lol. This thread is quite fun.
The source of the article is N4G...
Not even a specific article on N4G. Just N4G.com.

Yeah, from what i heard he really didn't do much beyond the general outlines of the story. Still the Ogre Battlesque influence is really there.
It seems like they used Star Wars to fill in the other half though.

I mean hell, how would you react if it was up to you and your friends to save the world from an overwhelming alien force. You'd probably be a big wuss about it for a long time until you got some success and confidence along the way. |
You're right about that.
A thief is just not someone I see as a usual everyday guy. It'd be cooler if Vaan was in the imperial army, and then conviced into leading a revolution.

That would not be cooler
That would be playing into too many crappy anime tropes to count

True. Though I think Orphan is also an overused theme. Probably because it's just easier to not have to deal with parents who would likely be adverse to their child running off and starting an aventure vs a giant army of evil.

No no,......he left because headquarters of S-E shifted from one town to another one....n it was away from his family...n he didn't want to stay away from his family....hence he left.

Also it avoids the RPG trope of your parents being killed in the first act. Which is always a plus.
