I guess its good for ps3.
Which games did EA develop for PSP by the way? This must be the first company that has more sales on PSP than on DS.
@ Commando )
if they were growth these numbers wouldn't make sense, for PS2 software sales obviously have a large negative growth and not a positive one
they really represent the share each consoles software sales make up of the total game sales revenue of these companies
@ Kyros )
the problem (for EA) with the DS is,that sport games just don't sell on that plattform, while they do wii-well on PSP

Wrong. The reason EA (and many other multiplat devs) develop "PS3 first" (a somewhat inaccurate statement since all development is done on PC) is because it's much easier to port from PS3 to 360 and the results tend to be almost, if not entirely, identical. Whereas when they were doing it the other way around, the PS3 version suffered noticebly and that in turn resulted in less sales. It's a not a matter of platform specific revenue.
lol.....its so difficult for people to accept PS3 isn't the disaster that they think it is.
what we see in NPD isnt showing the full picture of whats happening worldwide. ps3 software must be killing the 360 software in europe which is probably why they make more money on ps3.

i know man! its because people just sit on the internet all day and read articles about how ps3 sucks and is failing but in the real world it aint like that at all!

So true.
Well, at least we know.

These numbers reflect the number of copies sold to retail and not to consumers. For all we know many places in Europe may have ordered more copies of PS3 versions of games rather than 360 because of Sony's presence over there. Since 360 console sales have increased since the price cuts I suspect the picture is going to be different when they report next quarter (this goes as well for Ubisoft where the 360 has already gained ground this past quarter).
