Forums - Nintendo - Will you be happy if Wii music flops?

Yeah, i also hope it sells really well, just to spite those people whose life is ruined by the existence of a game that doesn't interest them

Well I am quite sad thought that games like Sky Crawlers, No more Heroes, Zack Wiki have problems selling when a game like Wii music gets high sales...If I was an gamedev I probably would be very dissapointed;

That isn't the fault of Wii Music - it's the games own responsibility to sell well. As long as they remain profitable enough (NMH obviously was), they will continue to make them. Besides, it's their own choice to make games with such a niche appeal, they should be prepared for disappointment if they're trying to top something mainstream.

Anyway, it's a shame the game has ended up "offending" so many people. I wish they understood that Wii Music & Super Smash Bros Brawl can coexist, I guess not.

=/  I am not saying it is the fault of Wii music that the other games I mention have bad sales (or probably will have bad sales *Sky crawlers).

Well I see it more as a painter who spends tens of hours to create a really nice painting but at the end only can sell it for a few 100$ when someone else drops just some paint on a paper and get millions for it...

Wii Music shifted 50k day 1, it seems.

You know what's funny? I wasn't even planning on getting this game. I was only mildly interested in it before it started getting so much hate. The hate made me look into it, and now I'm excited for it.

So please keep hating Wii Music. It will sell much better that way.

I don't know, I'd be fairly disapointed that so many gamers (who always claim to want new gameplay experiences) didn't even try a game that was a new type of game.

not really... it's a game where I don't have much interests in, so I wouldn't really care if it sells well or not.

Actually I'm really interested by the idea of a music game that allows so much control over the music.

I'd want people to buy it even if just to show developers that there is an interest in this form of game.

I personally don't hate it or love it.

And here we thought people got annoyed at the masses of mini-game collections. imagine when its 2010 and there are a 100+ wii music clones out.

Is that really worse than today when there is 100 Halo clones?
