#2 rule of VGchartz
Say anything bad about the PS3 and prepare to be insulted or banned

Usually the best course of action is just to ignore them

Price aint important lololol. Why do Companies drop ghe price then? Do you think a $500 Wii would outsell a $500 PS3/360?????

Probably not, but a $250 Wii IS outselling a $200 360 and $400 PS3 combined. :)

Damn and all because i gave a lil laugh at sony.... well, we all have differents sense of humor. All i can see is people hating when someone gives his/her personal opinion...as far as konnichiwa, i wont say anything. Just dont mention my parents anymore....say w/e you want to me...but no my parents.

wow, the dirt cheap xbox beats the super expensive ps3 for one week.... What a surprise. If anything MS sould be ashamed that they have to be selling their system at peanuts to outsell the most expensive PS3 for what is likely to be a single or two weeks.

Is it really peanuts when they are making a profit...

shouldn't they be happy they are outselling a product that still loses money on each console sold?

Despite costing more... the PS3 is really the console selling for "peanuts".

You think the 199 360 is making them money?

The reported a loss last quarter..

Also the PS3 is not a console selling for peanuts,  your spinning this against the ps3, and defending the 360

Yes.

There entertainment division reported a loss last quarter.  Including such products as the Zune... not Xbox.

Isn't the arguement that the PS3 is a great deal because despite being expensive it's many times cheaper then said products would be alone?  Is this not true then?  I mean, value is indicitive of the phrase "buying somethign for peanuts."

Otherwise nothing would be buying something for Peanuts unless it cost around a dollar.

You actually think the general consumer knows what the PS3 offers?

Honestly most people dont even know what blu-ray is.

Its like saying do you want GTA IV for 199 or 399?

Its an obvious choice of any consumer, that isnt well informed.

So your arguement is the PS3 is doing poorly because people are idiots now.

Fun arguement, though fundamentally irrelvent since it's Sony's job to tell people what their product does.  If they fail at it... it's nobody fault nor does it change the "real cost to benefit ratio".

Now it does change the "perceived cost to benefit ratio" but such a thing is not used when talking about selling something for peanuts.

That hardcore gamer excuse died when 360 became the cheapest console.

PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)
PC: 10^9
Wii: 10^8

Will this lead to what I think it will lead to.....

a drop in price for the King of all consoles?

No. The Wii is still in a great position :)

I dont think the wii deserves the title "king" just because its selling well..

Oh Snap :) I was giving an example, an extreme one at that.

Lol gebx, you're too funny.

Wow, this thread really blew up off one week of others sales.
