What the hell happened to this franchise?

Where is the fun arcade racer with great street tracks and cop chases? Where's the speed? I spent more time down shifting to take corners at 20km an hour than I did having fun. And what about the courses? I want to drive through cities and mountain roads with shortcuts and cops. Not take a crappy little contained track. And the "style" Yo yo homie! We gots graffiti and hoes yo! Check check check check check check check it out! YEESH. 

I know it's been a while since I played a need for speed game, but please tell me that prostreet was an unfortunate aberration in an otherwise great series. 

Most Wanted was awesome by all standards because of the great cop chases, Carbon was average because cop chases where less important, then you have Pro Street.

There's no looking back now.

NfS has been on a downward hill, but Undercover is taking it back to the streets!! (sorry if that sounds stupid...) anyway, it is basically all about cop chases now, and is said to be much faster.

I rented ProStreet (similar service to GameFly) and I sent it back after 3 minutes

Sorry NFS has been crap since the beginning of the PS2 days

its sad as i like NFS Hot pursuit n NFS Porche on PS1 MORE than the great Gran Turismo!!

yeah NFS:Pro STreet was meant to do the same thing ye know....but it FAILED.

EA keeps saying this one will be BETTER & a TRUE NFS....everytime it just gets worse though.

pro street was a million seller, EA really have stiched up titles every year no matter how bad thier flagship titles always sell.

ages ago i swapped my copy of halo 3 for pro street on 360, simply because i knew i would get £28 trade at gamestation, i think i did 2 races and i turned it off, it was jibberishly dire.

most wanted was cool, but like early 360 titles, akin to early ps3 titles, it had a horrible frame rate, carbon was also excellent

new game will be fully featured and will retunr to its orig formula, in an openworld racing. i think undercover will be a good game

I dont see why you would get a Need for Speed without a significant cop element, otherwise it is just an inferior version of BP, which is one the best racers ever IMO

Hmm... IMO it went down on the craper since UG2... it was the last NFS game that I enjoyed...

I played it on PC, and like the nerd always said... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?

NFS Underground 2 - the best one.

I really still have pity upon the 1 million Ps3 owners who brought NFs : PS

I must say Underground 2 was awesome, however, with Burnout Paradise, I have no need for another street racer unless it is something truly special
