Your thread title frightened me.

And I seem to remember a report saying that LBP does have a story, not a deep one, but indeed a story.

I think you have to remember that not all "hardcore creators" wants to continuesly invest time in making epic maps with storylines that run on for hours. A lot are going to create something that could be a fun little timewaster that you can play through in 30 minutes.

Others are going to make games that are fun to be four players in, just goofing around and others are going to create small casual levels, like the tetris level that was made recently.

I think there will be made good stuff for every taste out there, and it will shine through the sea of shittiness surrounding it, and people will have fun with it for a very long time.

I waffle on LittleBigPlanet when I see lame stuff like this...

It looks like a game to make short videos in this case... Nothing I can't do in a few minutes with a video camera rather then spending hours in front of a game console.

The game looks creative and I want to get it, but videos like this are just a waste of valuable gaming time. I would like to see more things in the line with the Super Mario levels, maybe follow movies like the Lego games do, and some truely creative content that will add to my gaming experience not waste it.

Maybe the levels in the videos I saw were all poorly designed, too short or simply bad. Show me a video of a really good level where there is much action going on and real gameplay (not simply walk through the level until you reach the finish) and I might change my opinion here.

For a retail game it offers too much actually, and wouldnt be better of as a PSN game because not all of us have 40gb of HDD space.

Yeah that's kinda dumb, that it uses so much space. I'm sure there would be a way to minimize the size of the content/levels

Also its a full blown story line for those 50 levels, just like mario world's story line.

Comparing a 18 years old game with todays standards ?

The game is meant to be fun, and its achieving that, most players that have gotten the chance to play in the beta cant stop playing it. Some even say it makes MGS4 look boring(and thats a hard thing to say).

I never said the game isn't fun in general.

Ofcourse this is all your opinion, but I wouldnt judge anything by a video.

ok simply watch a "Wii Music" video. :P ^^

Say what?? in nearly every thread for this game??? LOL...  I posted in the SMB level thread and this one.. thats 2..
