I already have a machine for games(and way to little free time) but,

I think if it hits $200 I'd buy one, unless Blu-Ray players are cheaper or I have already purchased a player.  Even then I'm still not sure if I would depending on how well Blu-Ray takes off, and if DVD is abandoned.

I'll give two answers: For my son - yes, unless he got a 360 first which seems more likely

For myself - no.   Never bothered with PS2 and have no real interest in PS3 either.  Maybe 360 for the WRPGs.

I'm a Wii owner and will probably purchase a PS3 in future. However, the software library doesn't really interest me much, it would primarily be for running Linux and a Blue Ray player. As such, I'll probably wait until it's $150-$200 since there isn't a whole lot of value for me there. Similarly, I'll probably never get a 360 since it doesn't offer those extras.

This.  The library of the PS3 doesn't appeal to me and this includes their big titles.  If there's a title that ever interests me I'll simply play it at a friend's house.  Time is another issue.  Between school, work, and my wonderful Wii, I don't have much time for another console.    

PS3 as a hardware has no value to me. I prefer gaming experience since I'm a jaded(24 years of egames does that). What I want to play are unique games or games that play well. Currently only LBP interestes me. I payed $70 for my PS2 with KH1 and 2 mem cards used. I also got it after the PS3 launch. I also barely play it. I have only purchased FF12(awesome) and was given SoC.

Since I place less value in the PS3 than I do the PS2 I will wait untill it's $100 with it's current libray. Maybe $150 if the library starts getting games I'm interested in. In the mean time I'll wait until 360 hitting the $120 price mark with minimal HDD. Otherwise pass. These are pretty unreasonable prices, but the libraries just don't do it for me and I don't wank to higher horsepower.

I would be tempted if it dropped to $199, other than that there just aren't enough games on it to warrant a purchase (I own a 360).

No, I don't have enough free time to play my Wii and DS games, so another console makes no sense. I don't have HDTV so I don't need BluRay.

i can buy a ps3 now, but no games that interest me.

also im so good using wiimote, shooters like mp3, RE4wii. I dont want to go back playing the old controller.

Nope, I'm very happy with my PCWii setup.

Might think of getting one once the 80 gig is around $250 or less in 2 years. As of right now not enough games that interest me for it enough to even buy one if at $250.

Edit: of course if it don't have BC then not paying any higher than 200
