Forums - Nintendo - Will The Force Unleashed be best on Wii?

yes..the Wii version will sell better..and be more fun

sorry ^^'' all these physics engines don't make the game more fun..just more realistic and beautiful..

but hey...a ton of games were and are released without them...why change now?

especially if the change isn't substantially huge

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=39242 They gave the game a 82% and gave some good reasons for the score I don't see any bias put into this review.

I dont think so, what would make the wii version better?

A superior gameplay experience, made possible by expressive motion control?

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

THe game is average and doesn;t derserve th coverage and yes I've played it. Its just another useless expansion of Star Wars which has becomed so watered down in story impact that its barely relevant anymore.

If it were up to Nintendo fans, they would have the definitive version of EVERY game. Just look at how Call of Duty: World at War is hyped over its HD counterparts despite what the obvious sales potential for each version is. As for The Force Unleashed, it's an average game at best, and after playing the demo, motion controls wouldn't help it much. Your motions with the Wiimote would still be completely unrealistic, and you'd probably be better off just having a greater physics engine. The only advantage I see to the Wii versions is making the controls less complicated (I still didn't know any of the controls after a half hour with the demo).

I do not believe so. The main focus for TFU is Euphoria and DMM engines for realistic physics. The Wii version will sell but it will be surpassed by its HD counterparts.

Thing is, all they are are engines to make things break apart/move relatively realistically.... People don't buy games for that.

So are you arguing that the Wii version will be a better quality game or sell better?

Actually, aside from the story and my SW nerddom, I am buying TFU for DMM and Euphoria.  Check my profile to see that I am a game dev student.  These new innovations are expanding the physics and AI of modern games exponentially.

apparently my cousin is gonna buy this game...idk if he is gonna buy it for the X360, but today he commented he might buy it for my wii...so lets see what happens

hopes he gets it on the wii

^ Dude PEOPLE peeeople. people dude. Not one person (this is said in a joking tone). he he he

But yeah I mean it looks cool in all on my 360 but.. The force.. Lightsaber. Wiimote. made by a different company totally so it's not gonna be a goofed up port. I definatly see a disturban... I mean more fun for the Wii version.

Oh and yeah when I played the demo for 360,  targetting objects with the force wasn't very smooth.  Pain in the dick actually.  I'm thinking/hoping the Wiimotes IR can smooth this out a LOT!
