I guess Sony does better with Haze since they didn't develop or publish it. Did Microsoft eat any of the Too Human development costs or are they just on the hook as a publisher?
Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Praising is too strong a word. Some were highlighting how they thought the game was fun, but not too many were praising it. I think the most popular sentiment after the demo was how poor the control scheme was...far from praise.
The issue is that TH had a budget of 40 million $... now which one do you think is the bigger failure?

nah I also read elsewhere people who loved the Haze demo and some who loved the Too Human demo (me inclusive) and about the same amount of haters
What I think it was, was moreso the anticipation behind Too Human. We'd heard about it for years. Hell, I started hearing about it not long after Eternal Darkness came out, and that was 2004 last I recall. I think its more the waiting in vain feeling than overhype.
That said, I think that if games like LBP flop, that'd far win this "flopped hyped up games" challenge

You've said this before and then someone said drew your attention to facts proving otherwise...
But you're still taking this line?
Haze was hyped like a dog until the IGN review...Then 90% of people said "oh dear"...the rest all hung out on the gamefaqs forums still proclaiming its greatness.

I messed up, I meant their preview back in November.
And who proved that otherwise? Did the hype not die down after the second delay?
Haze was a marginally more hyped by the fans.
Too Human was significantly more hyped by the developer/publisher.
Haze was a marginally bigger critical failure.
Too Human was a significantly bigger financial failure.
Haze was a simple slap to the face to Sonyfans by Ubisoft and Free Radical.
Too Human was a knifestab at Microsoft's and Silicon Knight's wallets.
