I still think the game will be ported to the PS3 later and will release around summer 2010.

I think bioshock had 'only on windows' when it first released. This just means its definitely a timed exclusive.

Maybe you mean, that the PC Version has the label Games for Windows.

I believe that's what he meant which is a moot point really. Maybe this is really exclusive!

Whoops, yeah I am wrong with bioshock it seems. But I just looked at the Mass Effect 360 box art. It says 'only on xbox 360'. So there you go, this is no guarantee of exclusivity, just timed exclusivity.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.

And I think someone could do the exact opposite and show only on Xbox 360 games that never went multiplatform.

Ultimately, it comes down to if the publisher feels sales could be higher by going multi-plat.

At any rate, SO fans will need an Xbox to play Star Ocean...Unless they want to wait 1 to 2 years before playing *maybe* having a chance to play SO4 on PS3.
