No, actually, it doesn't. It makes maintaining a close lead the best position, so that you can duck behind another player, let them take the shell for you, and retake first place. Such close leads, incidentally, make the game more fun for everyone involved. If you prefer adolescent displays of dominance, kindly play another game that panders to your fetish, rather than whining about how this particular one rewards playing in a way that more people enjoy. |
Wrong again. Having a huge lead is the best position. Then the blue shell doesn't even matter.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
Yes, let's play racing games for the enjoyment of everyone, not for yourself.
And I'm not talking online, I'm talking offline, 150cc where the blue shell comes more frequently than bananas. It's so annoying that the game comes down to being in second place the whole race, then getting first. But that's not if the pow comes two or three times, or lighting, or bullet bill, my favorite: If you're in last place only a couple of seconds back from the pack, it lasts a few seconds, but if you're 1/2 lap behind the competition, somehow bullet bill's fuel makes sit to the top of the pack.

What about a blue shell/lightning/pow combo? Fun right?
That'll knock anyone from first to twelth.

Yes. Boost of speed at the right time avoids a blue shell and red shells are blocked easily by many items.

There are other videos of infinite stars and bullet bill modes, but this one is by far the cruelest. Apparently, these hacks can be achieved with the homebrew channel.
Okami
To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made. I won't open my unworthy mouth.
What can we do though, its the homebrew channel that did it, I search cheats on youtube and its not only the blue shells that you can do online, you can also infinite almost anything on that game...
