Forums - Gaming - How is each console doing in your area?

Most of the people I know have a 360 especially some who didn't get a system last gen or where fairly late getting one like the ps2 have gotten a 360. For the PS3 a few of them have them though all but one has a 360 as well.   For the Wii it is about tie with the 360 mainly because not as many of my closest friends have it but it more than makes up for it by other people I know who have told me they picked it up.  Best example of the Wii which I just heard yesterday was an older co-worker of mine told me her nephew bought her a Wii after she jokingly mentioned Wii and the sweet kid went ahead and surpised her with both.  Also I have some female friends that have it that never had a system before.

Basically looking at my surroundings the chartz here are a fairly good representation of what is going on here in the USA.  Let me make that clear that this is for the USA since I know there are alot of foreigners on this site.  What are people seeing around their neck of the woods?

Of all my friends (and family members) who own a current gen console:
55% 360
20% 360+Wii
15% Wii
10% PS3

Among my friends, it's about equal between PS3 and 360. I used to be the only one I knew with a PS3, but since Christmas, that's been changing.

Quite a few people I know have a Wii, although not all of them play it frequently.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

all my cousins owns a wii and we sometimes get to play brawl online or have a race in Mkwii or practically chat in the message board. In My school is pretty much 360, and call of duty 4 all around. My friends owns 360's

umm....
33% have 360s, 50% have PS3s, and 17% have Wiis... but I only know like 10 people with current-gen consoles

On another topic, there are still no PS3s in stores where I live...

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

I'm far from being representative here, but...
1 PS3 owner
3 360 owners
7 Wii owners
3 DS owners
0 PSP owners

Note that there's some overlap of the above owners, and that I'm not including myself.

8 of my Friends hold Xbox 360's Exclusively.
3 of my Friends hold Xbox 360 and Wii's
0 of my Friends hold a xbox 360 and a PS3
1 of my Friends holds a PS3 exclusively.
1 of my Friends holds a PS3 and wii's.
23 of my Friends holds a wii Exclusively.

Pretty straight forward to me and my friends.

Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?

90% of my family and friends have a Wii
5% have a PS3
25% have a DS
0% have a 360( only me)

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

70% have X360

30% have PS3

0% have Wii

10% have DS

0% have PSP(only me)

Of the low, low number of people that have one, I´d say:

70% 360 (sports games, shooting games, soccer)
25% Wii (more expensive than 360, seriously)
5% PS3 (no piracy, no sale, basically)
