With PS3's price drop, JohnLucas's July prediction is looking better and better. PS3's price drop might push those in the market for the 360 elite to get a PS3. Also, it looks like MS will not retaliate in July. So, at best customers will go into a wait and see mode for MS to drop prices. I expect the July 360 sales to decrease by at least 40% unless MS drops prices in July (before the 28th)
This means that 360 sales will drop dramatically (possibly more than PS3 sales increases). So Wii only has to sell 1.3M to beat the 360 ( which it looks like it will ).
If not for the price drop, Wii would have had to sell over 1.5 to cover the spread, but looks like 1.3M will be enough
