Ummm, at the very least, it will get close. 18 million maybe. It could break 20million but not Guaranteed. The range I'd give is 18-21 million by January 1st 2009.

I doubt it. They are clearing the 40GB stock now, and the MGS4 bundle will likely disappear before it. It's already hard to find. The $399 80GB releases in September, remember?

20 million seems likely at this point... it wouldn't even be that much of an increase over last year (8 million last year I believe, adding to the 2mil in 2006)

PS3 was at some 9M at the beginning of this year... I predicted 13M worldwide earlier this year... That makes some 22M total. Not bad I guess; it's definitely reachable. I really don't have time to make calculations now but 22M sounds pretty good to me so I might actually stick to it.

EDIT: Oops, my prediction was actually 14.2M, not some 13M. Anyway, it's not that much more. According to that, PS3 would be at some 23M-23.5M. Still not impossible, but ever harder than 22M. However, since it's possible I guess I might stick to my numbers and hope my predictions turn out to be correct.

So it did 1.2 mil in 2006 --- 7.7mil in 2007, and to reach 20 mil LTD would need 11.1 million this year, which tbh is not even a stretch, it should do it nicely.
