His been tripled teamed...

@Soriku
Ownership of the characters does not mean ownership of the whole game dude. There is more to a game then characters. The most important characters to the series are not even Disney made, They were designed by Tetsuya Nomura. I believe in the spirit of good faith they allowed them to be copyrighted under Disney in order to forever seal the tie between the two companies for the game.

Here is where your example falls short. Level 5 makes the game as it's developer, SE "Publishes" the game, meaning they entirely fund it for Level 5 so they own the IP. Without SE's money, the game would be null and void.
Kingdom Hearts is Published by BOTH companies in question, Disney and SE. One cannot fully hold claim over it because niether fully fund this game.
That is like saying I make a game and fund it too, yet for some odd reason I let you own the rights to it. Now does that make sense?

LMAO Forevercloud are you really 19? Soriku owned you with cold hard facts and you still hold true to whatever crazy logic you hold dear.
Being developed and published by SE would mean they have rights to the individual games of KH1 and KH2 along with Disney, that means NOTHING could happen to those games without both people agreeing on it. But Disney does own the rights to Kingdom Hearts name, characters, and everything that's not Final Fantasy, so if they just so happened to really want to put it on the Wii and SE didn't go along with the idea Disney could take the game to Nintendo ask them to develop it and produce it with Mario characters and it would still have Sora and the gang in it.

I would hate to see it go the route of Bleach, Umbrella Chronicles, and a few others for the Wii. These are games that had potential to be great yet ruined because developers wanted to ad rediculously executed motion controls.Wiimote is not the end all be all to gaming, adding clunky motion sensing does not remedy a game's gameplay. I would hate motion sensing so much in the game. Sora does alot of attacks and fast slashes, this would be tiring. I like the original formula, I like controller buttons. I am slim/muscular build, I am not the Wii demographic who needs/wants to get into shape. Heavy movements are not my friend. This constant banter of a KH3 for Wii with motion controls are ruining it in spirit(as the game has not even been anounced yet). |
Umbrella Chronicles was just a spin-off, it was certainly no RE5. If we're assuming the KH team is any good, then look at the better developers that made the Wii-mote transition, with games like Super Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3.
@second bold, what's that about? The Wii demographic are not fat people needing to get into shape - I myself am the furthest thing from fat, and I'm sure most of the 2+ million in Japan that bought Wii Fit are similar. Gamers preferring motion control has to do with preference, not because they need a workout. I doubt there will be many moms playing any KH that comes on the Wii.
Anyway, I understand you might dislike motion control. Still, have you tried any of the better games for the Wii? Something like No More Heroes? Not all games simply tack-on motion control like Zelda:TP did. We've been saying the game doesn't require mapping all attacks to motion, but using it only sparingly (special attacks, spells, or finishers, for example).

| Soriku said: @forever wat SE is the only publisher for KH. Disney doesn't publish it but soem Buena Vista (Disney) members helped with the game. You can see BV members in the credits. Still, doesn't matter, Disney owns the IP while SE only owns the FF characters. |
kingdom hearts its not kindom hearts without Final fantasy characters.
Buena Vista was a brand name frequently used for divisions of The Walt Disney Company, whose primary studios and offices are located on Buena Vista Street in Burbank, California. Disney retired the name in May 2007.
The following Buena Vista Brands have been retired or renamed to a Disney or ABC name.
buena vista IS DISNEY.

Without SE there is no KH. Without Disney there is no KH.
Think of it this way.
