Awesome. I really liked 1 and 2. Can´t wait for 3. Is it going to be a 2009 release?

In the force Wii is strong.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

Well said! And I'm not too surprised: Lucasarts is about the bottom line, and they know the winds are shifting towards the Wii. Mind you, I kind of wish they worshipped the dollar a little less, so we can hav adventure games from them again, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. |
Hate to venture off topic, but I'd love to see Tentical 2 or Grim Fandango 2 for any console, lol.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
@ zen
I've heard that Free Radical is making every version.
If they are making the PS2/Wii version, then another dev will do the PC/PS3/360 version, and another to do the PSP/DS one.
Got the info from IGN
Free Radical Brings Star Wars to 360
July 9, 2008 - On Tuesday, major online retailer Amazon showed listings for Star Wars: Battlefront III for six platforms, including Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP and DS. Those listings have since been removed, either at the request of the publisher or because they were incorrect. After some digging, we're forced to support the former possibility, which is good news for 360 owners.
Two independent sources have confirmed to IGN that Star Wars Battlefront III is set to hit current-generation consoles, 360 included. The developer named by both tipsters is Free Radical Design, best known for the TimeSplitters first-person shooter series.
In 2006, Free Radical Design announced that it had entered into an agreement with LucasArts to work on a top-secret property. If our sources are to be believed, it seems likely said property is, in fact, Star Wars Battlefront III.
When asked, officials for LucasArts declined to comment.
The best-selling Star Wars Battlefront II has appeared on five different platforms since its release. Both it and its predecessor featured robust online multiplayer modes in which gamers could choose some of their favorite Star Wars characters and wage war on each other in fast-moving duels to the death. Battlefront III would seem likely to continue the winning formula.
LucasArts is not expected to show Battlefront III at E3 2008
Were the other Battlefronts RTS games or FPS? I Dunno..
Just bring Battlefront III!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just love that series

Yeah, Wii can't deliver. Cuz PS2 and Xbox didn't have awesome Battlefront games... -_- |
Battlefront for Xbox was sweet. What are you talking about?

Oh, thank God. I thought it was only going to be on the Wii. Honestly, this is one of those cases where it would be much better on another console.
