Laugh when the fiscal reports come in.

I don't think that will happen. Not after they dumped the 50 million on GTA4. But let's say that 360 did go down to $200 this year. I think it would outsell both PS3 and the Wii in the US.

I don't think they would drop the price more than $50. But if they do drop the price I think Sony would wait to see the results before making any changes. They would also probably have a few press announcements why M$ needed a price cut and the PS3 does not.

it would boost 360 sales in the US above PS3 sales, but not Wii sales

M$ are finally profitable, any forthcoming price drops will depend more on how effectively they are reducing the costs of manufacturing than anything else, they will want to sustain their current margins of making profit on HW and SW.

Kaz will commit harakiri.

Basically, Sony's reaction will be, "shit."

Yeah I know, deep stuff.

i think Microsoft is in best position to drop the price, because their gaming division is making profit.

I don't think Sony is in a position to respond it quikly.

"Next Gen. doesn't start until Sony says so", and it starts with.....

Metal Gear "Solid" launch.

Quote :"Ironic isn't it? Sony charges nothing for it's service yet you don't have to deal with pop-adds. Yet xbox live charges and gives you ads that you can't close. Funny how different the west is from the east."

If Micrsoft doesn't drop their price $100 this year, that basically means that getting rid of Playstation isn't goal #1, as it would hurt both of them but hurt Sony more due to thier shallower pockets. It will be interesting to see what Micrsoft does.
