I have a feeling that this game is going to sell a lot.

500,000 first week. Even if Rock Band is better than Guitar Hero, the Guitar Hero franchise is still very powerful and more popular, specially with casual gamers, and the DS install base is huge.

This game might the best selling game of June, right after MGS4.

 

Guitar Hero III Wii managed to sell almost 300,000 first week, with a lower install base than the DS, and a higher price

Maybe 300K, I'm not sure if people will buy it because there is no actual guitar.

I'm gonna say the ceiling for this game lifetime is 3 million a year or two down the road, with about 400-600k first week, depending on advertising.



Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Can always trust the opinion of someone with a MGS4 avatar to give a fair and unbiased analysis of a Nintendo product. Lol, just kidding.

I quesiton how well it will do as well, though I think it will do moderately well, however as said above it will depend on advertising and product support.

No way ... the game will do well , but the opening wont be great . LT it could do anywhere from 3-5 million , but opening could be even under 100k ...

I've played the Guitar Hero games since 2 came out and have been a member on scorehero for the same amount of time.. I truthfully have no urge to get this.. I don't have a DS either, but I've played one (I kind of liked it)... But either way, I don't think this is going to be a big success due to the fact it's not capturing the same feel as the guitar hero games or the rock band game. It's just a gimmick like the cell phone version with a much higher price tag...



If perferring the PS3 over the 360 makes me a fanboy.. I guess I am guilty..

List of PS3 Games I would like to have: LBP, FFXIII(if it ever comes), R2(maybe)

List of Wii Games I would like to have: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (It's not an exclusive but it would be awesome)
