Ah, but even comparing the games the other consoles are getting, to the games the Wii is getting, is basically proving they are competing with each other. If their libraries are competing with each other, then gamers for said libraries are choosing.
I wish to hell the Wii wasn't competing with the PS360, so I didn't have to hear all the time about their libraries verses the Wii's when the use hardcore biased reviews from sites like gamerankings to judge those libraries.
Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft say they aren't competing.
I just wish to hell they and everyone would stop comparing themselves to each other.
Sad fact is, they can't, because those consoles are competing with each other for the same consumer dollar in many, many cases.
While Microsoft might be winning the software battle, it sure as hell is clear as day who is winning the actual war, and it is a war, weather Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft want it or not. Fanboys and biased journalist have seen to that.
As for the DS, it's actually winning in all categories verses the PSP with its game lineup, userbase, and SW/HW seller status. So, saying the PSP isn't competing with the DS isn't that much of a reach for Sony. Those consoles aren't exactly competing for the same dollar, since in reality the PSP is usually a second system for a DS owner, especially in Japan. The DS works as the gateway drug to sell the harder product.
It's like comparing marijuana and heroine. Heroine is a niche drug with a few too many drawbacks for the casual consumer.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
