In my opinion This thing happens because third parties are too afraid to abandon sony and also too afraid to deny ms's money.
It is obvious that third parties are not capable to adapt on the new status or they insist in purpose as this new situation in hardware sales force them to think differently and maybe taking risks towards innovation. Third parties with the exception of some Japanish developers trully want the previous status where a console dominated the market and it had the ps brand on it. That way, they try less and earn more.
But if developers take seriously the developing on WII and do something new they will benefit a lot in the end. For example I can see Capcom and EA to sell millions in the next years if they follow their current strategy on WII with new, fresh and exclusive titles on WII.
Finally the whole thing will make competitors to explore new areas in videogames both in hardware and software and the customer will be the only winner.
Videogames has changed and maybe it is time for the developers, publishers to understand this.
