I'm not even really in the mood for this I was talking to the person who wrote this thread and then someone cuts me off......... wtf is up with that, yeah I seen a few responses but I didn't say anyone inparticular an I didn't cut&past like an ass.......... well I'll be out soon I'm about ready to go to the store soon..........

Chatroom.. this is a message board.. there is a MAJOR difference.....

Still you were completely wrong and you flipped out.

To emulate anyways you need hardware that is 10 to 20 times stronger then the system you are trying to emulate. Considering the Dreamcast is stronger then the GameCube there is no way in hell the console can run the game. The main reason why the Wii can even play GC games without emulation is that the processor and GPU are similar to what was in the GC just at a higher clock.

I disagree the gamecube was a close second last gen in terms of console power. Also the number of times a console has to be to emulate software matters on how well the emulator was made, and how closely related the architectures of both consoles are. I would say 10-20 times is the average though.

NOW HOW WAS I WRONG IF I DIDN'T GIVE A STRAIGHT ANSWER??????????????

yeah I kinda said "I think" huh, yeah I did.........

Oh so then it does run by emulator. Well maybe, Nintendo is really talented and since both consoles use power pcs you might see SOME games that run good, but most won't. A lucky thing about the Dreamcast dieng early is that it wasn't pushed to it's limits and the wii may benefit from this in the form of emulation, but Nintendo and sega would have to work together to make an emulator that works on playable levels let alone smoothly. I wouldn't discount it, but unfortunately too little is known about the wii's hardware to make estimates for certain, but right now I'm not seeing too many games running well on the wii. ALso I don't really see the benefit since most of the good Dreamcast games were ported to the gamecube such as SoA.

Although that's true, there are still many other games I would like to see again, whether they are ever on the Wii or not.

I doubt the Dreamcast was stronger than the GCube though.

No one has come up with the right answer. The Dreamcast is simply too awesome to be emulated. You can't emulate something many time more awesome than you are - simple fact :p

It was by far the weakest console last gen, but that is what happens when you release the console almost 1 1/2 years before the ps2, and 3 years before the gc and xbox. The gc actually compared to the xbox in a few areas, and I believe could have done anything the xbox could have done. Maybe at a lower quality, but still possible.

Lol, I love that answer. The wii has potential though, and if it got alot of 3rd party support I would say it surpasses the dreamcast in awesomness.

The GC could do most of what the Xbox could do, but differently. The problem was, Xbox could be adapted from a PC fairly easier than development on a GC game could. So the GC could do Xbox things, but it required different methods of (I don't know the words) coding or adaptation. However, not many people figured out those methods of breaking down GC hardware.
