The 360 already has some huge release's under it's belt... and the Wii is growing momentum software wise. Just so YOU know where I stand... I owned both a PS2 and PS1, I'm not anti-Sony I'm just being a bit more realistic. Good games take time to develop. |

I imagine they both have something in the works, if they didn't it would be the biggest dropping of the ball since... actually, i don't have an analogy for balls dropping, but it would be very big. Nintendo you can pretty much bank on a decent line up and they have brawl in December, what more could you ask for? ^^
as for the fanboy comment, i completely agree. IMO, it's borderline delusional to think the ps3 will catch the 360 in 2008. If things go right and there big names come out in the first quarter to med Q2 and if sony keeps up a strong lineup this time next year when gaming season starts up again, then they might, might have gained enough steam to challenge the xbox by Q2 2009. of course, this is sony we're talking about and the stars rarely align. late 2009-2010 would be alot more likely. it really all depends on 360 software, if they get a new 'bungie studio' to make a worthy heir to the halo throne by this time next year, then we in the sony camp are pretty much screwed.
They really need a price dropped bundle in the EU. knock off 75 pounds and replace the bundled games with heavenly warhawk. then they'd rock europe until playTV comes out and secures technophile buyers and builds EU psp sales.

So, with that reasoning, when MGS4 is released, sony is going to sell a few million consoles that month...right, because everyone who wants to buy that game hasnt bought a PS3 yet. It seems like you don't know how things work. The majority of those sales are from people who already own the console, not people buying it AND mgs4 at the same time. If you are right though, I can't wait to see sony sell 4 million consoles the day MGS comes out.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Hmmm, a majority so you do realize that i corrected you? Also yes they are million selling franchises, but with a console that sold 100 million, its not that hard 1% of total people have it you got yourself a million seller. And going with that, FF MGS4 etc each sold 5-10 million each because of THE BIG ammount of ps2 that were sold. How can it sell that big unless the fanbase goes over 20 million? right now ps3 is sitting at 4 million. What your stating that it will have a much higher attachment rate then ps2, which it should of course, but that high is hard to believe.
In all you cannot say that proven system franchises will make a console win, look at what bioshock is doing, 400k is decent sales, but its getting very very high reviews, and its coming from an unproven franchise, but look at the hype it builds for the 360.
And as long as you agree that these games will not have ps3 zoom by in 08, then i dont want to argue, i agree ps3 will most likely go past 360 but not till late 09/10

No when im saying that, im saying halo is a very true system seller. And now your proveing every arguement that states that halo 3 will boost sales big time. Why by a 360 now, when its not out, just like ps3 fans buy one now with no huge games?
When i say Halo has a huge attachment rate im trying to show how it will move systems, and how popular it was on its console. Halo most likely wouldnt of sold 35 million, but most likely more then 8 million.
In all im stating that PS isnt the only company with system sellers, sorry its not, and with you and everyones logic, 360 will get a huge boost in this holidays sales, while ps3 does in 08. And it comes down to that im trying to prove to all the fanboys that 360 does have enough games, that it wont just drop out in 08.
