Why so many post about worthless EGM?

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I love it when people think they are being smart. I was getting a PS3 as one of the reasons was MGS4. Well now Sony has 1 reason less for me. LOL.

Konami's pretty arrogant if they thought that no-one might mention the cutscene lengths and installs.

And there's a big difference between waiting to release bad reviews and being banned from mentioning some things.



Aurally examine my music!

Wear gaudy colours or avoid display. It's all the same.

Be warned, I will use walls of polysyllables and complex clauses as a defence against lucid argument.

Considering that

a) Most hollywood movies have a bigger budget and better screenwriters/directors/actors than a 90 minute cutscene in MGS4 had

b) Most hollywood movies are still crap 

I think it's a fairly safe assumption that the cutscenes are, indeed, crap.

Thats pretty stupid that they put restrictions on it. Reminds me how the game Kanye and Lynch came with a review guide telling the reviewers how to review certain things.

Also I think a lot of people in this thread misunderstood what was happening. You should not defend Konami here. EGM is boycotting the review not because they can't give it a bad score about those things, I doubt that would actually affect the score very much, but because they aren't allowed to mention certain things.
