Impressive effects with the same old cliche gameplay we see in all Sci Fi shooters. Oh well. Looks better than R2, KZ2, and Gears 2.

This is a horror FPS game. Nothin Sci Fi about it... :)

The horror really didn't come across in that video.

It looks solid. You never really know about these things until you're playing them, though. Bullet time and mechs don't really seem like exceptional gimmicks  for differentiation to me.

disolitude, which platforms are we gonna bet on? I say PC for both, since I'm guessing the PC version will be the definitive version for both games.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I liked FEAR and thought it was a very enjoyable game. This seems to take that to the next level so I'll be keeping my eye on it. I also like Monolith since the game Blood.

Heh... Blood was awesome indeed.

People who mention Free Radical and Haze situation and say this may happen to Monolith have to remember that only good thing Free Radical did was Timesplitters.

Monolith however have Blood, Shogo, Alien Vs Predator 2, Condemned, Condemned 2, FEAR... Usually reviewers say "Another year, another great shooter from Monolith"

Actually the guys at Free Radical also worked on some other little known games called Goldeneye and Perfect Dark which i heard were pretty decent shooters.

On topic I'm anticipating Timesplitters 4 and hopefully they put it on the Wii since 2 and 3 were great on the GC.  The Wii is in bad need of some solid shooters and another Red Steel or Medal of Honor game just wont cut it for me.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

How about the best single review accross all platforms?

I know that Project has 3 systems to chose from and L4D has 2 only but I don't see PS3/360 version for PO having different reviews.

Reason for this is that I know that Monolith is developing console versions first with this game while Valve is doing PC first.

So if L4D gets 85 on PC and 82 on 360 while PO gets 80 on PC and 85 on ps360...we look at L4D(PC) vs Project(ps360)?

It does look really good!

Ah, I figured they'd do PC first...as FEAR is most popular on PC.

I don't care one bit about the 360 version of L4D, but we can take the highest score for the judging...

I hope the PC version is good - F.E.A.R.'s multiplayer was excellent.

Do me a favour, just rent it and play it for a day...I thought FEAR would be boring and I kept saying "why are people giving these great reviewes for this shitty ga...ooooh...aaaaahhh...wow!"

F.E.A.R was ok, but it wasnt in the same league as Halo, Half-Life and Bioshock. It was to sparce, and the slow-mo got annoying. Like most slo-mo games do. Corridor shooters that stay inside are old hat.

Fear is easily better than halo, because it is damn close to half-life in my opinion, shooter wise. Nothing tops halflife of course :P. People should stop  saying Halo is one of the best games evah!!!. Halo was awesome, halo 2 was good, multiplayer awesome, Halo 3 meh, multiplayer good.
