They might be doing a sequel to Folklore.
gamerepublic is not first party (they made folklore).  Folklore is sonys ip though. scej could be making it themselves if they want.  Gamerepublic is sorta 2nd party (they have made a ds game and one for 360 as well but have mostly stuck to sony platforms)

They are killing Sony's chances in Japan. At least MS is doing terrible over there too. Nintendo is doing the best by far, but even Wii sales have been pretty tame compared to America and Europe. The whole console market has pretty much dropped off in favor of handhelds.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Well, White Knight Chronicles is going to be by SCEJ. If I remember correctly, they're building an engine for that from the ground up which would explain the wait(though I might be misremembering that or conflating with FF13).

level-5 isn't first party

Level-5 currently have at least five titles in development, four for the Nintendo DS and one for Sony's PlayStation 3.

Whoops. My bad. On all the preview vids I have it starts with the Japan Studios logo..... I must have been conflating more than just imaginary proprietary engines.

Buth from what I know, they're along with the development, just like Epic with Microsoft with Gears of War,in other words,Second party.

What about the developers of RPGs like Wild Arms? Legaia Series?
