Some code bugs happen in weird ways, which can seem random at first if you don't know what the cause is. Here is a very good example:

In that case, the solution was not to just uninstall and reinstall. You had to make a change to the PS3 that you were installing on. Not quite the same thing.


You have totally missed the point of what I said. I'm not saying this is in any way similar to that bug, just giving you an example of how some bugs can seem totally random. This would explain why reinstalling could solve the problem. Rockstar is not stupid.

How did reviewers miss these glitches?

Or maybe they didn't miss them at all and simply glossed over them? I'm sure they thought a lock up and freeze glitch here and there is no big deal...that was, until the internet gets a hold of the game.

I think I know the reason behind this thread,,,,Some people are not happy about the fact that this game is getting higher reviews than their favourite games.So they make this thread to say see there are problems and sites shouldn't rate it high.So they blow the problem out of proportion.(I played for 8 hours on US 60 gig not a single glitch).

this kinda behaviour is expected,,,,and don't forget SSBB had problems reading the disk for lots of people and it got 9.5.
