It feels like we waited  not a bit for the upcoming report, owing to the fact of previous one releasing with such a delay.

Yeah August's figures were delayed by a good couple of weeks.

Circana reports tend to release around the 20th of a month (+ or - a few days in either direction).

Going to be a busy day tomorrow getting the September estimates and breakdown articles done. 

Weren't we getting montly public reports about sales in Europe too? GFK? Via a specific site, gameindursty.bz?

We used to yeah. That ended at the start of 2025. The reports were posted on GamesIndustry and included a monthly report on the UK and another one on mainland Europe. Though, the Europe report was missing Germany and a bunch of smaller countries, so it didn't cover the entire European market. 

Those reports were VERY helpful with our Europe estimates, but sadly Chris Dring only once in a while provides some information now. We did get the yearly total for each console for 2025 for the UK, which helps. 

We do the best we can with a limited amount of data that gets adjusted when more data comes in. Along with any specific numbers we collect, we also look at historical sales, current sales trends (how much a console has been up or down year-on-year and month-on-month), etc. We use a formula that gets tweaked as more data comes in.
