I’m torn. I love the charm and personality in the UI, but darn do I much prefer the snappiness of my Switch 2. And as far as software is concerned, Nintendo was still outperforming the rest with their first party output during 2014… but that was like the system’s only real year of support. For how short-lived it was, I’d say Nintendo did a decent job. But no 2D nor 3D Zelda, no Metroid, no Animal Crossing, a sequel to SM3DLand as the mainline 3D Mario, the 2D Mario being an up-res of NSMBWii, Smash 4 being the most void of single player content in the entire series, in addition to the frequent misses in software quality (SFZero, AC: Amiibo Festival, MT:Ultra Smash, PM:CS)… I mean this system was a mess.

That said, upon having reflected on it, I think I land comfortably in the “No.” camp. This system was Nintendo at its weakest and by a landslide margin, as far as home console support is concerned.

The WiiU was a great console but unfortunately most people didn't get it. Most importantly it had a lot of great games. ZombiU is still something I'll play at Halloween every year. Having a friend over and both of us playing Black Ops online off the one console with our own screen each was great. Smash, Mario Kart and breath of the wild are all top teir games in each of their series.
Ya I'd a great time with my WiiU so can't really complain too much.

Nice idea with wayward handling, when games utilized the concept well they were great to a point other versions didn't compare for example ZombiU was fantastic but only on WiiU while Deus Ex:HR was best played on it. It's not a bad console it just had a disappointing run considering the potential of the concept.
