Happy birthday to the best bot that there ever is and was. Though I personally prefer Rescue Mission, the PS5 release is still an incredible release. I’d argue it’s the best 3D platformer released this decade (from what I’ve played… which granted isn’t a lot. Still have yet to tackle Bananza, and I’ve heard that’s pretty good).

I show some support to Astro Bot if Sony shows some support to PSVR2 customers... either a port of Astro Bot Rescue Mission (2018) from PSVR1 to PSVR2 or a PSVR2 mode for Astro Bot (2024).

For me it is- I had more fun with it than with DK Bananza and Mario Odyssey (both great games). Was my GotY 2024.

A sequel is being saved for PS6, methinks. They will need exclusives. It'll probably be a launch title.

I bought my PS5 for 1 game and that was for Astrobot, but now I'm not so sure I would be willing to invest in a PS6 to play 1 game again. Hopefully they will bring a version to PS5 like they did with Sackboy to the PS4, otherwise I may have to sit the next gen out.

I haven't started the game, but i do feel that having it in my backlog, is keeping my ps5, relevant . This will probably be the last game i play, as a kind of send off. Weird i know, but how many games are there that take advantage of all the ps5 features? Hoping they do make another, the original Astro was/is amazing

What a great game, although for a generally very easy game, the difficulty of some of the levels was surprisingly brutal. Can't say I would have got the game without its great reputation due to its cold robotic look though. The game ended up feeling not cold at all, and I actually appreciated the aesthetic in the end, but it certainly didn't draw me in before getting the game. I guess the aesthetic wasn't doing the game any favours in terms of sales.

I would like to mention the controls in particular. They felt kind of inaccurate even, but at the same time, somehow it felt like things always worked out just like I wanted. I have no idea what sorcery they did to pull off that feeling, but it's great.

Anyway, reputation well deserved. I had no idea such an easy game could be so good and not at all boring.
