Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Direct (Sept 2026): Expectations & Wishes

The SNES tracks are only in VS? Not Online? I guess they're too small tracks?

Metroid Ravenous looks sick

Sort of wish that they create another type of direct where they can put all re-releases, so I can skip it.

Metroid looked dope at least

Holding out hope for a big end to save this for me lol.

P4R, so why the hell did they wait months to reveal it's getting a switch 2 release.

Edit: Ah slightly later release, probably why.

3D Mario?!?!??

Nope, Kirby got baited. But still looks great.

So it was a mountain of ports, Metroid and Kirby lol. As someone who's not a Metroid fan this was very weak considering that September Direct is usually a huge show for them.

Kirby looks awesome though, can't get enough quality 3D platformers.

A bit mid. Fire Emblem and Zelda are the only first party for this second half of the year? All other titles seemed scheduled for Spring

Try to keep my expectations low but somehow I always feel disappointed anyway.

90% of that was offensively bad filler and a complete waste of time.

The RE Remakes, Metroid, and Kirby were awesome and kept it from being a total loss, but yeah, a shockingly tone-deaf show.

The most exciting things for me were the confirmation of gyro/motion controls for Witcher 3 and finally getting confirmation that the Resident Evil remakes are coming. I really wish I didn't have to play Requiem before 2, but that's their release schedule. The Metroid and Kirby announcements were very good, even if they're not Mario or Smash.

No 3D Mario once again is the biggest take away from this direct. Nintendo must really be struggling behind the scenes developing this one. I'm getting Sonic Xtreme vibes again lol.
