Those Zelda predictions and most of the Dire t predictions feel pretty spot on!

Imho, OoT will be a 1:1 remake with minor changes.
There are some leaks suggesting $60 price.

I don't think rumoured price point needs spoiler tagging lol.

Well I would say it does as it may give away whether we should expect a fully reimagining or a faithful 1-to-1 remake.
Hmmm. I'm mixed on the art style. It looks great in places but it also gives me an uncanny feeling. Links model freaks me out. It's too realistic a style to have big anime eyes lmao. It's like a doll.
I'm massively relieved they didn't re-use the BOTW art style but I think I'd be more comfortable if it was slightly more cartoony lol.
Edit: yeah now the final trailer played I think I'm fine with how everything looks except the child characters. Young Link and the kokiri are freaky and Young Zelda looks off as well.

Yeah...for the most part, I find the art style to be pretty good, especially in town and dungeons, where it looks quite stylized. But...something is irking me the wrong way in some areas/aspects, tough I can't pinpoint exactly what, though my main suspect is exactly when stylization is trying to be combined with too much realism, which then looks almost like those fan made UE5 generic slop.

I don't like how it looks but it was looking better in the final trailer. Overall though it being a largely faithful remake is a shame considering there has already been a remake like that. For the rest of the Direct there wasn't much to it to the extent they didn't even show a trailer for the film so the Zelda Direct was just ok I'd say.
Outside of Young Link looking a bit too uncanny, they should've just taken the face they used in Smash Bros Ultimate lol, game still looks incredible! I get the comparisons to the fan remakes, but the biggest difference is the level of polish this would have. The snippets of combat as Adult Link look great too. A lot more intense than I figured it would be.
Overall, I'm glad it's more faithful to the original. I would've hated it going full BotW style. Those kinds of games have their place, but not for previous adventures. At least not to that extent.
The audacity though of Aonuma talking about all the Zelda games available on Switch while leaving out the 2 elephants in the room
I am grateful that Nintendo abandoned the hardware power race 20 years ago, otherwise, we would've long had this kind of art style for years now lol.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
Is it me, or does young Link's hair have a similar problem to the hair in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Resident Evil Requiem on Switch 2? Not a big deal, but it's interesting if a first-party Nintendo game built from the ground up for Switch 2 is running into the same problems as ports of PS5 games.
