Forums - Gaming - Very Reputable Rumour: PS6 will be monthly rental-only!

PS6 will be a monthly rental for $39.99 per month. You can't actually buy it but you can rent it. This information comes from the highest of sources. Two random analysts on Twitter! I understand that some people may be upset by this news. Thankfully, I just play CoD, Madden and Fortnite all day like the rest of the 97% majority! You idiots wanting to own the shit you paid for are just a bunch of babies. Cry more!  Edit: No wait, you can buy it. It just costs $7777 in addition to whatever you paid in rental fees.

This is a really poor joke. I like it.

It's a sad time to live in when the first instict when seeing the thread title isn't 'must be a joke' but 'this seems worryingly possible' instead.

There's virtually no chance it will be rental-only. That makes no sense at all. But could Sony push financing or rent to own more than ever? Yeah, that seems probable.

On a second thought, that's what I thought too, but my first thought was that there could actually be such a reputable rumour, even if it does seem a bit far-fetched.
