I'm not buying one but if I did, it would be $399.99 and under. Console gaming was never suppose to be PC gaming. It was always meant to be affordable. That's partly why it took off in the first place.

$500. Im might drop console gaming altogether if the price tendency stays.

Price is less important. It more depends on if I percieve value in the catalogue. If it's nothing more than one big first-party console exclusive every year, then I'll just stick with NS2/PC. I think PS6 could be good value for those without a PC... but if you've already got a PC that's capable of running all the second-/third-party releases at or above PS6, then there's really no point in owning the system unless the first-party exclusvies are exceptionally strong.
That said: If the library is strong, then I could see myself paying as much as $1,200USD (on a second-hand system if need be). Otherwise I'd say $700USD is my ceiling.
So long as Japanese developers like Capcom, Square Enix, Sega, Namco, Konami, Koei Tecmo, and Falcom continue to support Switch 2, I am in no hurry for PS6, and totally uninterested in Helix.

Please let me know if you ever get the opportunity to buy a PS6 for 2$. I will take it off your hands. Ill even give you 5$ for it.
Dont know how high I would go, but probably around 800$.
$800. But I am considering quitting home console gaming because my PS5 and Series X aren't used enough. Might just go PC + Nintendo handheld/hybrid going forward.
At the moment I'm quite content using the cloud and PS Portal for PS5 exclusives. So if they support PS6 streaming relatively soon I probably won't bother.
If they don't then they'd need some good exclusives to get me onboard, maybe I'd stretch up to $800 if they have a very good lineup.
Xbox I'm not even considering.
Next-gen might be the first console generation I sit out, but maybe they can win me over.
I think it highly depends on if it supports physical media or not. I am not so religious about it that I only buy physical games, but they are kind of the one thing consoles have over PC at the moment, unless the price is much lower. So with physical media, probably $700 is the absolute ceiling - without, maybe $250, lol. I think one thing that could get me to go above the $700, is if Sony released a PS6 that was fully backwards compatible with every generation of PlayStations. Then I could stretch it to $1000.
I just upgraded my PC, which can kick the PS5 Pro's ass. And I have a Switch 2. It's extremely unlikely I'm going to bother with a PS6. I won't give a definitive answer about Helix until I know what exactly it is, but I doubt I'll be getting one of those either. Even with Sony pussying out and pulling their games from PC, there's so few exclusives on Playstation these days that I doubt I'll even notice not being able to play them.
Whatever nintendo charges is the most id pay
