Forums - Gaming - Help me build an NES wishlist for beginners!

Okay, so I have pretty extensive knowledge of the NES library. I want to make a list of NES games that aren't too pricey (on average) but are also absolute bangers. But I would also like input on people that aren't into retro-gaming at all on what an affordable and good game is according to them.

I'll post the final list in the retro forums at the bottom of my sig. So give me your favorite NES games that are relatively cheap! Also give me anything you would consider a must-own regardless of price. So don't be afraid to throw a few $70-$100 games in there. I can work with that so long as the average game price is something joe-schmoe would consider affordable.

I'll kick things off with three afforadable yet, must own games that I think most people don't know about. All three of these games are under $30 and I consider them absolute must haves. You can use pricecharting.com to find accurrate prices based on ebay sold listings BTW.

Edit: A lot of longplay videos online are made with crappy emulators and/or poor connection cables. These games look way better on a CRT running off a 40 year old NES than they do here. And the best part of the NES is that any 12 inch CRT with Composite cables will look amazing thanks to the magic of having a large TVL to inches ratio.

I mean, including the obvious? Mario 1, 2, 3, Zelda, Zelda II, Star Tropics?

Edit

More niche, Guardian Legend and Master Blaster.  Some Ducktales and Chip n' Dale.  Gun Smoke.  Megaman 1 and 2.  Little Nemo, Dragon Spirit.

A few games that I like that are under the $30 mark:

Bubble Bobble
Castlevania
Dr. Mario
Ducktales
Mega Man 3
Super Mario Bros 1/2/3
Tetris
Zelda II

Nothing earth-shattering (NES was a bit before my time), but I have personally enjoyed these games.
