the sugar crash though?! That won’t keep you up and running. |
Oddly enough, despite not being a morning person by nature (though I have become one recently as my anxiety meds have changed by sleep schedule), I've never really needed caffeine to stay up and feel energized. In fact, caffeine doesn't seem to do anything for my energy levels. I don't drink coffee, but I do drink sweet tea (super popular here in the South), and I used to regularly drink soda (not nearly as much these days), and it's like my body just shrugs the stuff off, almost like it registers as an inert chemical. I just need a few minutes to just get up, maybe splash some water in my face, and I'm mostly good to go.
But a nice, cold glass of chocolate milk has been my go-to morning drink for decades. Even here in my 40s, I still love the stuff. It's my favorite drink.
