I've dealt with the issue myself, which can be frustrating when trying to post articles, so I get it. Our coder (Bandorr) has looked into it several times and has so far been unable to find the cause. He is a volunteer, so only has so much time to spend working on the site.

Thank you for the information— knowing this, I can be a bit more patient moving forward. So long as the issue is being looked into, I'm happy. Appreciate it, Trunks.

No problem. It is a very strange issue as it is temporary and usually fixes itself within 20 to 30 minutes. Bandorr hadn't touched the code when it started to happen as far as I am aware.

I understand how frustrating it can be. Nothing is more annoying getting ready to publish an article when it happens. Then I have to wait for it to start working again.

Speaking on the sales in Japan. I know it is because of Tomodachi Life, but Switch 1 being up year-on-year and relatively not far off from Switch 2 is wild.

This week reminds me that quickrick claimed in 2018 that Nintendo had fired all of its big guns, and Switch sales were about to fall off a cliff.  I actually think Tomodachi is the last big gun for the Switch (I think it will go 10m+ worldwide).  That's pretty amazing that the Switch is getting this major of a release in its 10th year.

Good times with so many "great" predictions.

Oh damn, Tomodachi Life is huge seller.

I was confused for a second about low Switch 2 hardware sales given that apparently huge software release, but then I saw Switch1 HW sales huge boost and realized Tomodachi is a Switch 1 game. Is it seriously a Switch-only game, not on Switch 2? Given how huge those sales were it seems like a big miss for this game to be on Switch and not Switch 2.

Very curious. Sony needs to do something, but given prices, I don't know what. Selling half what the Switch 1 pushes, lol. Bad.

The PS5 needs to be looked at in isolation from Switch at this point, and relative to it's potential as a home console/other home consoles. Even as far as a hybrid/handheld is concerned Switch is performing unlike any system before it. Insane longevity.

OP: It's unfortunate Pragmata won't launch same time on PS5 and S2, would of been a fun comparison since it is in fact a new IP (no established audience on either platform). PS5 sales are solid imagining it has a decent digital ratio but I'd hope it has longer legs than the usual AAA release.

Switch 2 is backwards compatible so you can play Switch 1 games on Switch 2.

Did retailers offer the PS5 & Pro for their cheaper prices this week? Interesting how those models' sales went up so much.

Going into 2026, I though there might be some competition regarding PS5 vs Switch 1 this year in Japan but it's quite clear that can be put to bed now, no matter what happens with prices going forward. Switch is destined for 900k+ and, obviously, the PS5 can't compete with that.
