Forums - Politics - "Operation Epstein Fury" - US and Israel Unprovoked invasion of Iran

War is so easy for Israel. Just tell everyone to leave their house, job and life behind and if they don't (because they have nothing else) then it's theirs and not Israel's fault if they die.

China is going to be hamstrung by the repercussions for it's now defunct one child policy. China is in the midst of a population crash. They have a huge chunk of people reaching retirement age with a far fewer number people entering the workforce to replace them. I think India may turn out to be the country that people thought China would be come. They have world's largest population, top tier engineering talent, and nuclear weapons.

India is probably 20-30 years behind China and Africa even considerably further behind that.

Well it doesn't look like anyone is going to stop this clown, this is going nowhere

Donald Trump's desperate attempt to declare his military victorious against Iran failed as he began to blame the UK and NATO member countries for not coming to his 'rescue.' His envoy, Steve Witkoff, too told the US president that the Iranian foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, had threatened to build nuclear weapons during diplomatic talks last month. Rifat Jawaid dissects Trump's cabinet meeting and his key claims.

Anyway Trump is extending his deadline for another 10 days while getting another 10,000 troops to the ME. Meanwhile Israel and US keep bombing Iran, Israel keeps bombing Lebanon, Iran keeps bombing the Gulf countries and Israel.

30-40% of the oil infrastructure in the ME has already been heavily impacted or destroyed.

And what does CNN think important to report on

Trump claims CIA told him Iran’s new supreme leader is gay

President Donald Trump claimed during a Fox News interview today that the CIA told him that Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is gay.

Asked by Fox News host Jesse Watters, “Did the CIA tell you that Ayatollah Jr. is gay?”

Trump responded: “Well, they did say that, but I don’t know if it was only them. I think a lot of people are saying that. Which puts him off to a bad start in that particular country.”

Trump did not indicate what evidence there was to support the CIA’s assertion. Homosexuality is illegal in Iran, which considers same-sex relations a breach of Islamic values, punishable under the country’s Sharia-based law.

The New York Post reported previously that Trump had been briefed on the matter. Trump has previously questioned whether Iran’s new supreme leader is even still alive after US strikes.

And this is why china will be the new world order you think like early 2000, china is massivle investing and building a robot workforce, humans are a tool of the past in 30 a 40 years,by that time the usa age is already  gone i think  if it keeps heading this course.

India's population growth is also slowing dramatically and it has the same demographic issues China does, including an even worse male/female imbalance. They have a slightly younger population, but it won't be enough. Their population is set to decline in the near future as well, and they won't be anywhere near as wealthy as China is when it happens.

India's population decline will be the most pronounced in southern India, which is also where most of its wealth is concentrated.

Al Jazeera is rated mixed for accurate reporting. Qatar only has around 300,000 citizens with a population over 2 million. It's also a strict monarchy or some other non-democratic government.

I considered it but ultimately can't think of them as a reliable source.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/al-jazeera/

Hah that site still says CNN and BBC are mostly factual. What's the bias check on mediabiasfactcheck ;) Both have been exposed in recent years. It even says NYT is High despite deliberately running disinformation articles, exposed last year and refusing to issue corrections.
https://www.fairobserver.com/devils-dictionary/the-new-york-times-prefers-fake-rape-to-real-starvation/

Plus that site seems to focus on the left/right nonsense. Which is biased in itself. At least it rates FOX as Low, still too high lol.

It really depends on what they're reporting on how reliable the information is, hence always double check, cross reference. When it comes to the ME, Aljazeera is far more trustworthy than any Western outlets. But, yes, Aljazeera has bias as well when it comes to Qatar.

The Guardian cites over 1,500 dead in Iran.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/22/iran-war-timeline-civilians-bear-brunt-of-us-and-israels-month-long-campaign

Hindustan times reports 3,114 people have been killed according to HRANA. It said 1,354 of those were civilians including 207 children.

Iran state media puts it at 1,270

US has been dropping 2,000 pound bombs on Iran, which have a kill radius of 350 meters and can structurally damage buildings in a 850 meter radius. There are many civilian casualties no doubt. Those are the bombs Biden halted the shipments of to Israel as they were generating too much news in Gaza, too many deaths at once reaching through to the mainstream media.

Don't just look at one source, look at many.

Yeah the site says CNN and BBC are mostly factual. It also gives Fox a higher than deserved rating. And it rates NPR as highly accurate, despite NPR having a serious bias in immigration and transgender issues. Anyway, you can still use their scale to see that Al Jazeera is not a reputable source. After all if the questionable CNN and BBC are rated as mostly factual then Al Jazeera should be considered trash since it has a mixed accuracy rating. And if Fox news gets a rating of low accurracy despite being deserving it's own catagory called "absolute dogshit propaganda" then you can see how Al Jazeera deserves "low" instead of mixed. In other words mediasfactcheck is softballing everyone.

Your sources say the following: Here are the tolls reported by Thursday, which Reuters has not independently verified.

Anyway, your willingness to use questionable sources like Al Jazeera or Iran State Media really hurts your argument. It's like watching a prosecutor bring fingerprints, and video evidence. Everything he needs to convict. And then he ends his statement with "Also my toddler said the accused is a doo-doo head" without a shred of irony or humor. Like he legitimately thinks his toddler's word is equally as damning as the fingerprint or video evidence.

Too many people on the left/right issue spend so much time in their own bubble that they forget how ridiculous their positions sound to normal people. And that's when you lose people. Nobody wants to listen to a political zealot, and using certain sources makes you look like one.

That's why I use many sources, Aljazeera, CNN, BBC, Reuters, AP, NYT, Guardian, Haaretz, UNHRC, HRW, OCHA, MSF, B'tSelem, Zeteo, Drop Site News, Mondoweiss and various 'youtube media' like Democracy Now, Janta Ka, Breaking Points, Double Down News, DRM News, DW News, France 24, Sky News, Owen Jones, The Humanist Report and whatever Google comes up with.

Anyway death toll in Iran is now close to or already past 2,000 with 3.2 million displaced.

What does mostly factual mean anyway? Repeating propaganda is factual? For example Reuters/AP just print the garbage that comes out of Trump's mouth, yeah it's factual in the sense that he said that, doesn't make it anywhere close to the truth or facts. Same with blatant lies by the IDF, usually debunked later but first printed as 'fact'.

At least the beauty of the internet is that you can cross reference everything instantly. At least for now until AI puts an end to it. It's enough work already to counter the AI bias algorithms now.

What really hurts any argument nowadays is using any US billionaire owned media.

Anyway The Washington posts now says nearly 1,500 Iranian civilians killed

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2026/03/27/iran-war-civilian-deaths/

BBC update:

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn0w1qxzd4xo

Our analysis shows there has been a series of attacks on state-linked targets that are embedded in civilian neighbourhoods in Tehran, with deadly consequences for those living around them.

The Israel Defense Forces told the BBC World Service it had targeted a military building used by the Iranian Basij, a paramilitary force linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guards. But analysis of the aftermath suggests the impact extended far beyond that single site.

Dozens of families had lived in the multi-storey apartment building in Resalat before it was destroyed by an Israeli air strike on 9 March. The daughter trapped in the rubble had been living in the complex with her husband and own young daughter. Days after the strike, she and her daughter were found dead under the rubble. The husband survived.

Another apartment building, across the road, was also destroyed in the air strike.

Military experts told BBC Eye that the Israeli air force is likely using particularly large bombs across Tehran from the Mark 80 series, which are often fitted with precision guidance systems. They added that the scale and spread of the damage observed in Resalat is consistent with the use of the Mark 84, the largest of the series, weighing 2,000lb (907kg).

Unexploded bombs matching these types have been photographed in the city.

Resalat is not an isolated case.

Since the start of the conflict, the Israel Defense Forces said it had dropped more than 12,000 bombs across Iran and 3,600 bombs on Tehran alone. US Central Command says it has struck more than 9,000 targets across Iran.

Many of these US and Israeli strikes have targeted police stations, Basij militia buildings, police headquarters, military and police universities, safe houses, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) homes, as well as potential ammunition stores and checkpoints.

Often, these targets are located within busy civilian neighbourhoods. On 1 March, an Israeli strike hit the Abbasabad police station near Niloufar Square, where families had gathered after breaking their Ramadan fast.

Eyewitnesses describe seeing at least 20 people killed, though the BBC has not verified this number.

The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) says that 1,464 civilians including at least 217 children have been killed in Iran in the first month of the conflict.

The source is still the same (HRANA) as Aljazeera used to give a death toll. Is it more believable now the BBC repeats it?

https://www.en-hrana.org/statements/joint-statement-by-hra-airwars-and-civic-the-urgent-need-to-protect-civilians-and-halt-attacks-on-vital-infrastructure/

  • Between February 28 and March 23, HRA recorded at least 1,443 civilian deaths, including at least 217 children, resulting from US and Israeli airstrikes in Iran. These figures represent verified minimums and are expected to rise.
  • During the same period, Airwars documented at least 130 separate incidents of civilian harm, including attacks on healthcare, education facilities, and residential areas.
  • In the deadliest day so far recorded by HRA, at least 252 civilians were killed on March 9 in a barrage of almost 400 strikes across the country, reflecting a high tempo of operations. That number is almost as many civilians as Airwars recorded killed in the entirety of last year’s 52-day US operation on Yemen – at the time, a campaign of unprecedented harm.
  • Drivers of civilian harm from US and Israeli operations identified by CIVIC, HRA, and Airwars include targeting errors and misidentification, including as a result of outdated or faulty intelligence; inadequate precautionary warnings for civilians; the use of explosive weapons in densely populated areas; and attacks on or impacting civilian and “dual-use” infrastructure, risking long-term reverberating impacts on civilians’ well-being.
  • As of March 23, HRA found that 37% of confirmed attacks took place in Tehran’s urban environments. HRA has verified damage to 60 hospitals or medical centers, 44 schools, and 129 residential buildings, while government estimates indicate more than 16,000 homes were damaged. 543 strikes targeted “dual-use” infrastructure, including energy and transport systems essential to civilian life. The humanitarian impact is significant, with approximately 3.2 million people reportedly displaced according to United Nations figures.
  • Moreover, HRA has documented how Iranian civilians have faced intensified domestic repression since February 28, including expanded arbitrary arrests (at least 1,830 as of March 19), restrictive security controls, and inflammatory official rhetoric threatening arrest and even death to perceived opponents, further constraining the ability to seek safety or access information.
  • Civilian vulnerability is compounded by restricted access to information and movement. Internet connectivity has dropped to approximately 1% of normal levels, with associated economic losses estimated at $37 million per day.
