Forums - Politics - "Operation Epstein Fury" - US and Israel Unprovoked invasion of Iran

Death, taxes, and the US going to war in the Middle East.

Same shit as Iraq and Afghanistan in the 2000s, and will probably end up the same way.

Wasn't it because they were at some point like a week or two away from having a functioning Nuclear warhead armed and ready to launch?
And the US is like "this will not be allowed".

Basically fanatically islamists are not allowed to own nukes.
Esp, if they are threatening to use them (against Isreal).

Basically they refused to stop researching and developement of nuclear weapons, when told by the US, that they are not allowed to own them.
These are leaders and goverments that support terrorism and pay for them, use them.
Them having a working nuke will not be allowed, the US has been saying that for like 20 years to them.

Their people starve and are poor, but they funnel money into R&D of making nukes.

Imo this is FAFO.

US is a military super power.
If it says they won't allow you to own nukes, stop trying to make one.

The world had a Nuclear Agreement with Iran, Trump shut it down in his first term.

I don't know why Trump was set on ripping it apart.... but I think I remember it being something like "they arn't following it" ect.

Anyways reporting is now saying Ali Khamenei died in a air strike.
Like less than a hour ago.

The "supreme" leader is gone.
Maybe this will be better for the people of Iran in the long run? who knows.

Also this is a dictator that has killed 10,000's of his own people.
Paid for terror acts and funding, would often threaten the west and neighboring countries.
So... yeah, probably for the best.

I suppose Khamenei can wait for Trump in hell.

I just hope the world isn't a more dangerous and turbulent place tomorrow, but it looks like it will be.

What is really surprising is the fact that apparently Khamenei stayed in his residency. The signs were all over the place the attack was near. probably thought Muhammed is on my side or the virgins are waiting...

Also the Iranian military probably have realized by now it as a bad idea to sell all their good stuff to Russia. No drones left apparently which is good for the US ships sitting around...

Next in line likely is Cuba but after that DT has run out of weak opponents.

So a new dictator that still suppresses the people but is friendly with the US?

That's what the Shah of Persia/Iran was. And the dictators of Iraq after Saddam have been friendly with the US. The US supports most of the world's dictatorships even before Trump entered politics.

I wonder if the US and Israel will reinstall the Iranian royal family.

The Pahlavis live in the U.S. now, and they still act like Iran is their personal property, which is part of what got them ousted twice after WWII.

The former shah's son, Reza, is even offering to be a "transitional leader."

Fun fact The U.S. actually armed Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War. In order to maintain a balance of power, they also armed the Iranians, which was well-known among the Iranian people, and apparently they were suprised at the furor over the Iran-Contra scandal.

Iran is second on world reserves of Natural Gas. Maby it's time for Europe to buy cheaper fuel. :P
They shouldn't try creating nuclear bomb , they gave an excuse to Trump to invade.

These wars are giving more countries a reason to develop nuclear weapons, to protect themselves from invasion.

In the 1970s, at the time of the "Arab" oil crisis, Iran (which is not an Arab state) was actually the most powerful member of OPEC and had final control of oil pricing. The shah manipulated oil prices to net Iran a 33% in GDP growth in 1974 and 40% in 1975. Saudi Arabia was not a major player at that time, and only became a major player after the Iranian Revolution.

So Khamenei has officially been confirmed to be dead by Iranian state media. That would be no great loss, except that Khamenei was 86, and there are always successors, and there will be an election by the Council of Experts, the governing body of Iran. Possible successors include Khamenei's son, Mojitaba Khamenei, and Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, and Sadiq Larijani, the former chief justics.

The U.S., of course, would rather hand the country over to Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the son of the late shah.
