So far I only bought Nintendo exclusives, most of them on proper cartridges.
Switch 1 games without SW2 upgrade options stay on my Switch 1 OLED.
The Switch 2 upgrades (f. e. for the Zelda games, Kirby and the Forgotten Land...) occupies a considerable part of the storage and of course the bundled digital version of Mario Kart World. With a few smaller digital Switch 2 games (f.e. Fast Fusion) I still had 80 GB free internal storage.
So I could probably have postponed the inevitable for another one or two years.
Nevertheless I have bitten the bullet last week and bought a SanDisk 512 GB microSD Express for €120. With the current situation of rising prices for NAND memory, I don't expect μSD Express cards to get much cheaper in the next months/years.
Now I have the option to buy some big third party games which are only available digitally or as game key cards.
