Considering the current instal base difference and soon the consoles prices difference, GTA VI is like a pseudo PS5 exclusive at this point.

Still more probable than that 39 million preorder rumor.  I mean that would be amazing but thats a guess at best. 

PS5 version may beat XBS by 3:1 and maybe 4:1 in the long run but it's not getting close to 6:1. Xbox remains a big platform and GTA6 can revitalise it somewhat.

I wonder if Sony is going to supply enough PS5's for the holiday season or keep the volumes low to minimize losses from hardware. Be very prepared for another round of scalping madness 😮‍💨

Is there already rumors about hard numbers for preorders?

A friend at work came to talk to me about GTA VI price as preorders started and we discovered the price here in Brazil, and told me if was actually so cheap... lol.

He only got back into gaming around two years ago, I helped him find an used Xbox One X so he could sign up to gamepass so he and his son could play many games, and he immediatly told me today he is selling it and getting a PS5 for GTA VI, he wanted to do it next year but I've warned him about potential price increases for 2027, but the guy instantly convinced himself about jumping ship back to PS (he had a PS3 at the time GTA V released), and thinks paying $80 on it is a steal (he might even go for the $100 version).

I think by the time the PS6 comes GTA VI would be quite easily over 3:1 in favor of the PS5 version.

Also, I've told him I would buy his Xbox One X if he ever needed the money back when he asked me for help to choose it back then. So GTA VI might sell me a XOX and I would have never imagined it lol.

This is possible if we are strictly talking about physical copies. The UK sales for example have shown increasingly stark sales figures for PS5/Xbox edition of games at retail in excess of 6:1.  Plus I think the majority of Xbox's sold are digital only consoles.  So, even though GTA5 is currently only code in box, I think it is possible that the majority of those boxes may be PS5.  Totals, including digital storefronts may be a different story.
