The PS2 is superior to Switch imo if we're looking relative to the the time.

More ground breaking games and new IPs. Proper Japanese and a Western Support of all sizes.

There were so many PS2 games I fell in love with: Okami, Final Fantasy x, FFXII, GTA, Kingdom, Timesplitters, Tekken, Kingdom Hearts, Shadow of the Colossus, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet... I could go on.

By comparison the only Switch games I've actually loved have been Zelda BOTW/TOTK & Mario Odyssey. There are games I'm enjoying like Kirby Forgotten land but it's not up there with the same highs on PS2. I do want to play Xenoblade series and I'm waiting for it be on sale but broadly speaking there is just less genre defining experiences released on Switch.

For me, it's the Switch 1, but that's me personally. It's hard to argue against the sheer impact the PS2 had in its day, though much of that was down to GTA.

You essentially had all the biggest IPs and genres firing on all cylinders with frequent brand new releases on the PS2. I don't think it's nostalgia googles. By comparison *most* new games of present time do not launch on Switch and haven't done so for its entire life. On PS2 there was huge abundance of everything. Fighting games, JRPGS, Sports Games, Action Adventure, Platformers, FPS.

I think the platforming/local-co-op genre is the only area where the quality fell short of what we're seeing on the Switch. 

PS2 was really defined by an insane library, the below represents one single holiday season 12months after launch.  Taste/preferences may vary but the variety is undeniable and there are at least 4 *brand new* genre defining experiences in those 3months alone.

We are on sales charts if Switch was so great then why did it sell less than PS2?(so far) =p

Yeah, its Switch for me. Its my favorite console of all time. It actually surpassed the NES which is crazy since that was my first ever console and got me into gaming. Never thought a console would even come close to the NES, but here we are.

6th generation is my favourite generation. Take me back to the early 2000's.

You already know my answer lol though that’s because Switch 1 was my gateway into gaming, and the only games I’ve ever played on PS2 are Pac Man World 2 and Attack of the Toybots (Nicktoons game).

Ps2 to me is the greatest console era of all time, its unmatched. The huge library of great games is just unbeatable, heck i played xenosaga 1,2,3 last year and that games wowed me more then almost all the modern jrpgs nowadays.

Thats just a crumble of why i think 6th gen gaming whas peak(as gamecube ,dreamcast and xbox also had amazing games)

To me great visuals i LOVE how 6th gen games look.

Gigantic never to be seen ever again of exclusives

MASSIVE output of great exlusives from sony,biggest a console have ever seen(not just 50% ports)

But thats just my opinion.

PS1, easily.
Between those 2, PS2, easily as well.
