The answer is Luigi's Mansion. Fantastic series that does not get enough love.
Mother Trilogy: 2 and 3 are two of the best games of all-time. The first one is enjoyable but quite dated.
Paper Mario: TTYD is a masterpiece and the first game and Super Paper Mario are great.
Non-trilogies (back to back)
Persona 3-5: Goated
Marvel's Spider-Man: Because Miles isn't numbered but is the second of these games.

The third game is pretty ridiculous in the end.
Well, good time to have a thread about it with the remake of the God of War trilogy, lol.
Very easily the best trilogy in gaming history IMO.
